About

Where it all began: Paradise

“Paradise”, which took place in Chicago, was our first exhibition in celebration of Women’s History month in March of 2022. The exhibition, sponsored by Aku Dreams, featured 22 Black women from Africa and the African diaspora making their mark on the blockchain with NFTs. The theme “Paradise” was chosen to visualize each woman’s idea of what their ideal place or state of mind is.

Accomplishments

  • First NFT exhibition featuring all Black women

  • Covered minting fees for all women participating in the show

  • 8.3 ETH total sales (~$21.3k at the time) - 100% to the artists

  • Featured on CNN’s “Inside Africa” and nftnow

  • 150k+ impressions on social media
